#30 Leith Links to Lochend Park with Anne

June 14, 2025 Filed Under: 60 walks with 60 friends

4th April 2025

We lived quite near Lochend Park when we first moved to Edinburgh, but I hadn’t been there since Callum was a baby. The lake is full of half-submerged willows and a pleasing number of herons which we delighted in watching. They are one of my favourite birds. Anne is a swimming friend and is currently doing a PhD on advocacy. It was interesting to reflect back on my MA dissertation on the early days of self-advocacy written in 1991 – I have now leant my copy to her.
