#29 Musselburgh with Joan

March 21, 2025 Filed Under: 60 walks with 60 friends, Uncategorized

This was the achilles walk – we both had slightly sore achilles! We walked along the coast to Musselburgh and had a lovely coffee and share some gf apple cake at Kaffeine – so whilst the walk wasn’t new, the cafe was. The original plan was to go to the Old Oak Forest in Dalkeith Country Park, but it is currently closed. We agreed to go on a longer walk when our tendons allow.

Always lovely to catch up with Joan, whom I first met when they moved into a flat next to us on Portobello High Street. Joan is just a couple of months older than me and we talked about being 60, work, pensions, our young people, singing…

All power to getting older gracefully and our achilles tendons.
