#25 Maspie Glen and East Lomond with Megan and Sarah

February 2, 2025 Filed Under: 60 walks with 60 friends

2nd February 2025

I met Megan and Sarah on a compassion course at Samye Ling back in 2014-15 and together with Amanda, we shared our daily gratitudes with each other for while in a small group we called JAMS. Amanda sadly couldn’t join us today due to health issues, but it was so lovely to catch up with Megan and Sarah. We started our walk from Falkland Stables car park, up Maspie Glen onto East Lomond with stunning views across to Bass Rock, Forth Road Bridge and the villages of Fife and then headed to Pillars of Hercules for a tasty lunch.

We all have children at different stages and our conversation ranged from our kids, partners and neurodiversity, mental health, the importance of taking retreats, what walks we had done/plan to do, art, writing and much much more. We all work in similar areas (Megan and Sarah are both OTs) so there is lots of common ground.

And they presented me with a  jar of homemade JAMS jam, fabulously decorated by Sarah, and a copy of Jackie Morris’ beautiful and inspirational Feather, Leaf, Bark & Stone book that I watched her create on Instagram. Very touched!
