#15 Siccar Point with Penny and Angus

Sat 6th April. This walk was such a treat! I have known Penny since our young people were at Woodcraft Folk together around 20 years ago and she also sings in Portobello Community Choir. Angus runs Geowalks so there could be no better two people to take us to Siccar Point and explain about Hutton’s unconformity – the rock formations that gave James Hutton proof  in 1788 for this theory relating to the age of the world. We had readings from Hutton’s writings too! Aside from the geology there was a wealth of interesting conversations about neurodiversity, family…
