#7 Botanics with Sally

January 21, 2024 Filed Under: 60 walks with 60 friends

Friday January 19th, Royal Botanical Garden Edinburgh.

I hadn’t been to the Botanics for ages, and it is always great to be shown around and taken to someone else’s favourite spots! Sally took me to the Sequoia cathedral, the Queen Mother shell grotto and I told her about the singing workshop I had led under the Lime trees beside Inverleith House drive when I taught Heartwood, written by Robert McFarlane with music by Val Regan to support the Sheffield Tree Felling Protests. You might also like to listen to Karine Polwart’s version.
