Callum had planned to take me to Glen Feshie and to stay overnight in Ruigh Ateachaen, a walk we still hope to do together at some point, but another weekend away this July was going to be a bit much for him. The 19km curcuit around Loch Leven was lovely alternative walk, and we were delighted that Mark joined us for half of it too and to help us delight in the fauna and flora (and tell us exactly what each creature and plant was!). Thanks to Mark for some of these photos too.
Highlights were Sedge Warblers, Reed Bunting, Spotted Woodpecker, meadows full of orchids, water lillies almost ready to burst into flower, loads of Meadow Sweet – and not too much rain!
